Website CMS
The website uses
drupal content management system (CMS) with MySQL databases. Drupal organizes pages into nodes and allows users to edit pages through their web browser.
Theme
The theme uses php and css for the background images. All the theme images were custom designed in
Photoshop and
GIMP. Each year, the DiscoBots make a totally new website. This is to promote real learning in each year's website team. As new members come, new members will be able to learn how to make a website from scratch. This year's idea for the theme was to create a disco atmosphere with flashing lights and disco balls to fit in with the disco ball theme this year. The theme also complies with the XHTML 1.0 Transitional standard.
System Recommendations
The website uses relatively new website features such as transparent boxes. We suggest using
Firefox version 3.0.6,
Internet Explorer 8, and
Safari 4.
